Announcing Call for Entries for “Cultivation” Exhibit to be held at Lanesboro Arts CenterThe Lanesboro Arts center would like to invite artists to submit an application for inclusion in the upcoming “Cultivation” exhibit, a juried group show about the land, farming, gardens and planting. The exhibit will run June 2 - August 11, 2012. Artists working in all visual arts mediums are welcome to apply.

Deadline for entries is May 1, 2012. Artists may submit 1-5 entries to be considered for the exhibit, with each featuring or having something to do with cultivation. For each entry, please submit an image of the work and indicate medium, dimension and retail price; include artist name, address, phone, email and website. Email application to gallery@lanesboroarts.org with ‘Cultivation’ in the subject line, or call Robbie Brokken at 507-467-2446 for more details. Application can also be mailed via the postal service to Lanesboro Arts Center, PO Box 152, Lanesboro, MN 55949; please send a CD and written list with the above information. Artwork accepted for the exhibit must be delivered to the Lanesboro Arts Center by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22; work must be framed with hanging wire and identification on back. Participating artists should plan on being present for the opening reception on Saturday, June 9 from 6-8 p.m. The exhibit is sponsored by F&M Community Bank and supported by the Minnesota State Arts Board.

The Lanesboro Arts Center galleries are handicapped accessible and are located at 103 Parkway Ave. N. in Lanesboro, Minnesota. The Lanesboro Arts Center has been providing year-round arts programming for more than twenty-five years.
