Local potter Joyce Divelely is having an Open house this Friday and Saturday, April 17th and 18th.  She has been mentioned frequently on “Coulee Region Art,” and was spotlighted here last January.  If your looking for mugs, vases, bowls or just fine crafted pottery, click on the thumbnail photo to the left.  The poster will provide you with all the information you need regarding the event.  I missed her at the Cabin Fever Art Show and Sale but saw a lot of her pottery that she had exhibited.  I’d really love to add one of her mugs to my personal collection.  Maybe she might be interested in a trade of some sort?

On Wednesday April 29th the La Crosse Arts Board will be meeting at The Pump House Regional Arts Center.  The meeting starts at 6:00pm and is open to the public.  This meeting provides the opportunity to learn more about this newly created board with a focus on hearing thoughts and ideas regarding gaps and needs in the local arts scene.  For more information contact The Pump House at www.thepumphouse.org or call 608-785-1434.

Beginining Drawing classes are being taught by Colleen Gilgenbach at the VIVA Gallery in Viroqua.  There will be four clases of basic drawing instruction each Monday in May.  Also at VIVA Gallery on each Tuesday in May Colleen will be teaching the basics of watercolor painting.  Each class is only 50 dollars for all four sessions.  If interested you can call the gallery at 608-637-6918.
