The Spotlight March 27, 2009

Gary Wiste is a photographer and calls his art “photomanipulation.”  I met him a couple weeks ago at the Cabin Fever Art Show where he was exhitbiting his work.  Gary says he has been an artist forever and concentrates mostly on photography and then adds effects with Adobe Photoshop in the computer.  In addition to photography Gary also loves advertising and auto racing and has combined his talents and intrests starting up a business called Wisconsin Motorsports Services where he creates art for racers and the motorsports industry.  When he is not creating his art and managing his business he is working on creating the “Wisconsin Motorsports Hall of Fame and museum” in Wisconsin Dells.  I’ve added his photograph “Dead Tree In Water” to the Coulee Region Art slideshow.  Click on the Local Area Artists box below to get to the slide show and view the artwork of 24 local area artists that have been featured in “The Spotlight.”
