Barb Decker at Northern Coyote Studio refers to her art as “painting with paper.” She says painting with
paper is a unique multi dimensional for of art. Her creations are produced using thousands of pieces of hand torn paper of varying colors and textures to form detailed landscapes and florals. The driftless region of Wisconsin inspires most of the scenes she creates. “Painting with paper allows for an incomparable interpretation of farm fields, wild flowers and the majestic views of the Mississippi,” says Barb. In addition to painting with paper Barb also does functional free form pottery inspired by the shapes and forms of nature. Her work is on display at Gallery La Crosse and State Street Gallery in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She also has a website called Northern Coyote Studio.
