Today I only have two local area artists to spotlight. A photo of their artwork has been added to the SlideShow and I have created a permanent link to their website if they provided me with one. To view the SlideShow of their art just click on the box at the bottom of this post titled “Local Area Artists.”
Annie Gasper resides in Mindoro, WI and is a member of the La Crosse Society of Arts and Crafts. She has won several Wisconsin Regional Arts Program Awards as well as People’s Choice Awards. Her medium is watercolor and her artwork includes still life’s of vegetables and flowers that she grows, animals, people, farmscapes, and landscapes. She markets her paintings at Art Fair on the Green, The Season of Art, which she co-founded, and The Driftless Area Art Festival. Annie’s artwork is also currently on display at Peaberry’s Coffee House 40 Copeland Ave, La Crosse.
Amanda Wilson is a local mixed media artist working with water colors, charcoal, and graphite. She also works with an air brush and does a lot with computer generated images (CGI). Her artwork has been selected for international calendars and is also licensed with national companies for a variety of products. Many of her pieces have won several international awards.
