Press release from the Pump House Regional Arts Center:
The Herons of La Crosse have migrated back to the streets for a final season of public viewing. Through this public art project sponsored by the Pump House, 36 large heron sculptures graced the streets and buildings of La Crosse and Onalaska, WI. last summer. This year the Herons will once again be seen widely around the area, and some will be featured in concentration around the Pump House (King Street between front and Second Streets). New this year also is that the location of the Herons will be listed by GPS coordinated for GEO-caching and on the Pump House website.

I noticed they were back again and was happy to see them. It’s fun spotting them around town. I’ll be sad to see them go but it’s nice to see the money will go for charity.
