Glass, Color and Canvas

Area artists Chad Moriarty and John Schneider have teamed up for an intriguing joint exhibition of glass and paintings at the Pump House.  New to Wisconsin, Chad Moriarty brings his off-the-wall fun and functional blown glass works, which include ornamental orbs, sculptural glass creations and flora, and decorative functional objects including vesses and urns.  Painter John Schneider completes the show with his soft, color-filled pastels and paintings of pastoral scenes and everyday places.  Schneider finds new ways to interpret and communicate landscape painting with a blend of abstraction and representation.  The exhibition opened November 25th in the Kader Room and Front Gallery and runs through January 19th, 2010. An artist reception will be held December 4th  from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
