Ceramic Arts Links

On this post you will find links to sites and organizations promoting the art of Ceramics.  I have created a catagory just for this purpose and will add additional links as I obtain them.  In the future, if you don’t see this post of links on the main page of the blog you can just click on “Ceramic Arts Links” in the Category field on the right hand side of the main page.

Ceramics Arts Daily. This is an intenet newsletter providing information and inspiration from inside the artist’s studio.  Ceramic topics include Methods and Techniques, Designers Corner, and Inside The Studio.  The subscription is free and can be canceled at any time.  They have an online bookstore and provide many useful links for the ceramic artist.

Clayart. Clayart is “the electonic voice of potters worldwide!  Subscriber-initiated discussions range from questions and answers on materials and techniques to business advice and philosophical debate.”  Subscription is free and can be canceled at any time.

A gateway for ceramic and pottery information on the web with 50 categories and over 1500 listings.

La Crosse Society of Arts and Crafts. Membership offers monthly meetings and programs, gallery space in local businesses, scholarship programs, club sponsored art shows, as well as educational programs and opportunities.

National Council On Education For The Ceramic Arts

 Potters.org. This site has been published as a service to potters worldwide.  If you have a question about ceramics you can probably find your answer right here.  The professional or hobbyist can search the archived discussions free of charge.  Topics include books and magazines, kilns and firings, materials, tools and equipment and many more.  A truely valuable resource for potters.

The American Ceramic Society This organization’s mission is to serve the informational, educational, and professional needs of the international ceramics community.

Wisconsin Pottery Association. The Wisconsin Pottery Association promotes knowledge and appreciation of art pottery among its members and general public.  They hold regular meetings, sponsor educational events, exchanges, and exhibitions on a periodic basis.  They have their own WPA annual show and sale, provide a calandar of events and offer a newsletter that is published four times a year.
